🚨🔵 Chelsea rebuild continues with four new faces, plus an important update on Christopher Nkunku

My latest insight into the revolution going on under Todd Boehly at Chelsea.

The Chelsea revolution is ongoing. Todd Boehly has the intention to build something really important - it’s not just about the players, or the new manager Graham Potter, but those around them.

Joe Shields is joining from Southampton as co-director of recruitment. It’s 100% confirmed, we’re just waiting for a club statement. Shields will leave Southampton after doing excellent work there, and previously at Manchester City’s academy. He’ll now be a key part of Chelsea’s recruitment.

Lawrence Stewart is also joining Chelsea’s recruitment team. Paul Winstanley from Brighton is also on the way, and then they need a technical director. Christopher Vivell is really close to joining after leaving RB Leipzig, with conversations progressing in a positive way.

In terms of a sporting director, it remains a work in progress, so Todd Boehly will remain in a key role negotiating with clubs, working together with Graham Potter and the rest of the board.

Chelsea fans have been asking about transfers, of course, and particularly for an update on Christopher Nkunku.

It’s important to mention that Chelsea have everything under control, he’s agreed in principle to join, he’s had a medical with Chelsea, and he’s waiting to sign his contract. Everyone who’s joining Chelsea all agree that Nkunku will be an excellent signing for the Blues.

Just a reminder - Chelsea don’t plan to meet Nkunku’s €60m release clause, they plan to reach a different agreement.

Let me know your thoughts on this Chelsea revolution - it’s a very different situation now since the sanctions earlier this year, with Todd Boehly making big changes and looking to build something special at Stamford Bridge. Tell me in the comments if you’re optimistic about the project and who else you want to see join!
